Please welcome Mrs. Sandy Branstetter to the Weaubleau Community! Mrs. Branstetter will serve as the High School Math Teacher for the the 2021-2022 school year. We asked her a few questions so you could get to know her.
Where are you from? I grew up in Bolivar, MO and the surrounding area (with some time in Toledo, OH).
Why did you choose to get into K-12 education? I have always wanted to be a teacher and used to "play school" with my dolls and stuffed animals when I was younger.
Who was your favorite teacher in school and why? Mrs. Mary Ann Smashey was my favorite teacher in school. She was my high school math teacher for Algebra II, Trigonometry, and Calculus. When I was in her room, she brought math alive for me and I fell in love with it and knew right then and there that I wanted to teach math.
What is the last book you read? The third book in the Chiveis Trilogy: The Kingdom.
What is your favorite movie? The Day After Tomorrow - I watch it every year on the first "snow day" from school.
What is your favorite meal? Sushi rolls: spicy crab rolls, deep fried California rolls, and the rainbow roll are my top three favorites.
If you were a crayon what color would you be? Purple - because it is my favorite color.
Anything else you would like to tell us about yourself?
I have two kiddos, Joel who is 13 and Lexi who is 11. They are in 6th and 7th grade. We love hiking, swimming, reading, watching movies, and cooking together as a family. Fall and Spring are our favorite seasons because we love hoodie and bonfire weather.
