During Red Ribbon Week, our high school students were visited by the Arrive Alive Tour. Students were placed in a virtual reality simulator that allowed them to experience driving a vehicle under the influence or distracted. Our hope is that the experience reminds students to drive safely!

Seniors & Parents of Seniors!!! Please join us today from 2-7pm in the Community Room for our FAFSA completion event. Financial Aid professionals from OTC will be on hand to assist. Students participating will be entered in a drawing for prizes! They will also be eligible for a $500 scholarship for attending the event. Here are a couple of tips to make your FAFSA experience smoother: 1. Make an FSA ID early. Each student and at least one parent will need an FSA ID to complete the FAFSA. Your senior has received a help sheet for this that they should have shown you. If you haven't completed this step yet, no worries, we can help you tonight. 2. Bring everything. Having all 2021 tax documents available will make filing the FAFSA easier, even if the Data Retrieval Tool is used. There’s no shame in bringing a box of papers.

Attention Seniors & Parents of Seniors: Next Friday, October 28th, will be FAFSA completion day. Please make plans to attend with your senior (at your convenience) between the hours of 2 PM to 7 PM. The FAFSA is crucial to any senior who plans to pursue more training or education after graduation, and completing it early may provide more financial opportunities. Participation in the event also qualifies students to win prizes and a possible scholarship. Not to mention, OTC admission and financial aid professionals will be on hand to offer assistance with applications.
