The WHS September Students of the Month are Molly West and Sophie Poterbin. They were selected by teachers and staff based on both character traits and employability skills. Here is a little of what teachers had to say about them in their nominations:
"Sophie is a student dedicated to her studies and is organized and stays on top of her work. She always tries to do her very best, and she truly enjoys learning. She sets goals for herself and evaluates these goals often... Also, Sophie is a kind and caring person. She is willing to help her classmates with their work or to listen when one of her peers needs to talk. Furthermore, Sophie is a positive role model and a strong leader. She is a person her classmates and her teachers can depend on to do the right thing."
"Molly is willing to help others in class either catch up on assignments, understand a topic and she never judges her classmates. She is always positive and respectful towards others... She has good communication skills, is good at managing her time, and she helps out classmates who need help."
Congratulations to these two exemplary students! We are so proud of you!
