Catching up! We celebrated our December and January Students of the Month a while ago, but got a bit behind on posts! Congratulations to Araka Breshears & Destiny Hebert-Sadler, who were voted as the December Students of the Month; and Raeden Stewart and Mara Hilliard, who were voted as the January Students of the Month. Here's a little of what their teachers said about them:
Raeden Stewart - has great organization, teamwork, and dependability. She is a great member of the yearbook staff, she works hard, meets deadlines, and is passionate about our class.
Mara Hilliard - is a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day! She lets her light shine throughout the school building by showing kindness and compassion toward her peers and her teachers. She is always there to listen to her friends, give them a shoulder to cry on, and share an encouraging word to lift their spirits. Mara is a hard worker, and she values teamwork. Whether in the classroom or on the ball court, Mara is a team player who always does her fair share of the work. She will be the first to tell a fellow student that everyone must do his or her part to make a team successful. Mara is truly a delight to have in class, and her joy is contagious!
Destiny Hebert-Sadler - shows good communication skills, is willing to help classmates when they have questions, finishes work on time, and has patience when classmates are frustrating.
Araka Breshears - has grown and blossomed into a great leader. As cheer captain, she has the confidence and knowledge to guide the team while also listening to others on the squad. She has learned to diffuse disagreements and lead others to a unified solution. She is highly admired by her peers and is respectful to authority.
